The client faced issues with accurately tracking the profitability of their Google Ads campaigns due to variable costs and the volatility of their business. Additionally, categorizing products into sale and non-sale products proved difficult, particularly in ensuring that good products received enough visibility while managing the volatile nature of villain products.

SOLUTION

We implemented server-side tracking to send detailed margin data back to Google Ads, considering all costs at the moment of purchase. This allowed us to send profit-based values directly to Google. To address the categorization challenge, we set lower targets for sale products to maintain their visibility and higher targets for non-sale products. Extensive testing was conducted to refine these strategies.
